This series of 12 pocket squares features traditional floral and geometric patterns printed on a sky blue linen fabric. Each one is a unique piece of design, purely hand-made from printing the fabric to cutting and finishing the pocket square. The textured linen fabric turns them into extraordinary accessories for the summer time while the simplistic color scheme means they can be worn with tobacco brown linen suits, cream silk jackets and much more.
The fabric is provided by J.H. Koch. Located in Northern Germany, just two hours east of the Analogue Approach studio, they have a history of weaving and dyeing linen dating back 220 years. For this collection we settled upon reserve printing. J.H. Koch is one of the few remaining reserve printing manufacturers in Germany. Reserve printing is a traditional technique whereas a textile substrate is printed with a resist paste using historic printing blocks and then dyed. The printed areas will resist dying and appear in the base colour.? Meanwhile, the remaining areas absorb the pigments endowing the fabric with a bright shade of sky blue.
This pocket square is completely handmade from the cutting of the fabric to the sewing of the hand rolled hems by Mungai, a small workshop near Florence . This young company specializes in extraordinary pocket squares made from a variety of materials and works only with a handful of distributors.
We have decided to offer this pocket square in 31 ? 31 cm (12 “). An adequate size for its weight to be worn puffed or with a TV fold.
